Brand Values

At Beautifully Buxom we believe in 'Slow fashion' and we are committed to design, develop and deliver timeless, non season specific, quality garments to last.

We produce small runs of our ranges in the UK with a small highly skilled team of pattern cutters and machinists.
Some ranges or colour-ways may be limited editions due to the use of end of line fabrics and laces which are no longer made but far too beautiful not to make use of!
All fabrics used are carefully cut to reduce waste and any off cuts are used for craft projects which are sold with profits donated to local charities.

Our postage bags are made from recycled materials and can be recycled and re-used and our gift bags are made of recycled paper from a local supplier.
Our business cards and most marketing materials are made from an FSC mix paper and some printed with vegetable ink.

Our labels are printed with a thermal printer to eliminate the need for ink cartridges.
We are working with UK based fabric suppliers to find some suitable bamboo fabrics for future lounge wear ranges but currently use viscose mix which is a sustainable alternative to cotton.

It is a sad fact tonnes of perfectly good garments end up in landfill from large companies and this needs to change.
We ask that all garments are tried on on clean bodies with no deodorant/creams etc to avoid marking and scent transfer in the even of needing to return, all items returned are inspected, and steamed to kill any bacteria. If needed will be hand washed in Eco friendly laundry liquid and used as samples for customers to try on before buying.

Wherever we can, we use other small independent businesses and self employed skilled workers (many previously made redundant from large companies going overseas for production)
Most of these we have met in person, it is important we know who is working for us, they are happy with their working conditions, and are paid a ‘Real living wage’ or above as valued members of ‘Team BB’.

The majority of the models used for the photo shoots and those who have helped with the design development process have been non professional models, but a truly diverse group of ladies from all walks of life, various sizes, shapes, ages & ethnicites, who we will be forever grateful for their help, feedback and support.

We are members of ‘Buy Local Norfolk’ & ‘Make it British’, organisations dedicated to helping and promoting local and UK made brands, it’s worth checking them out, there are so many fantastic brands discover to support!
